The Story Behind Das Werkstatt

A lifetime of
turning wrenches.

From farm machinery to aircraft, a hands-on approach built on experience.

I grew up on a farm, where working on machinery, fixing things, and figuring out how they worked was simply part of everyday life.

Over the past 20-plus years, I've had the opportunity to work on an incredibly wide variety of equipment and machinery, from something as small as a chainsaw to something as large as a Boeing 747.

My background includes prior military service, and I'm an FAA-certificated Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) mechanic. I've worked with everything from traditional mechanical equipment to sophisticated computer-controlled machinery, including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems across a broad range of applications.

Working with so many different types of equipment has shaped how I approach troubleshooting and repair. While the machines may be different, the fundamentals remain the same: understand how a system is designed to operate, find the cause of the problem, and make the repair correctly.

That philosophy is at the heart of Das Werkstatt.

My passion for automobiles, particularly European vehicles, led me to establish an independent, appointment-only workshop where I can apply that experience and give each vehicle the attention it deserves.

My goal isn't to be the biggest shop around. It's to provide knowledgeable, dependable service, take pride in my work, and build lasting relationships with the people who trust me with their vehicles.
